Tulip Planting at St. Luke’s

On Sunday, October 27, the people of St. Luke’s held a special tulip planting event after the Sunday worship service. About 15 of our church members, young and old, came with shovels, spades and other gardening equipment. They planted tulip bulbs and got our garden ready for the winter. The Oakville Green Conservation Association generously donated about 500 of these tulip bulbs to us in partnership with Scotts Canada.

Our Sunday School kids had a great time planting around the church and learning from parishioners who were more experienced with gardening. Because of all the willing helpers, we were able to get these tulips in the ground without too much effort. Thank you to all the church members who made our gardens beautiful. And thanks especially to Oakville Green and Scotts Canada for making this event possible!
