St. Luke’s Community Centre serves as a hub where people meet in both structured and casual ways to engage in social, recreational, educational, artistic, cultural, and community building opportunities. It also serves as a resource centre where people can access a variety of services. 1188 Lorne Scots Oakville Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps is one of 400+ Cadet Corps in Canada and has been offering the Cadet Program to the youth of Oakville since 1924.
The Cadet Program provides youth with opportunities to develop valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership, and public speaking, along with personal benefits of increased self-confidence, discipline, initiative, and decision making.
Army Cadets meet for workshops and course work at St. Luke’s on Wednesdays at 6 pm.
