Whether you are looking for a long-term spiritual home, attend an occasional service, or just have some questions answered, you are always welcome.

We are an open, safe and loving church community that welcomes people from all walks of life. None should feel that their life story will be judged by others or stand as an obstacle between them and building a relationship with God.

You are invited to attend our Sunday service at 10:00 am, or our Morning Prayer Services on Wednesdays at 9:30 am. Be sure to stay for refreshments and conversation afterwards.

We also celebrate special services throughout the year such as Ash Wednesday, Easter and Christmas. If you have questions about the Christian Faith, or are interested in Confession, Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, Memorial Services or Burial, please call and arrange to talk with Reverend Garfield Wu.

History of our Parish

St. Luke’s Anglican Church has served the North West Oakville community of Palermo since 1845. We are members of the Diocese of Niagara and the Anglican Church of Canada. We are Christian Disciples, Transforming Lives and Building Community.

Worship at St Luke’s reflects our mission statement. We offer a place to be fed in Word and Sacrament and to help you live out your commitments to God and to your neighbours. We are an inclusive parish and all are welcome to join us in exploring the Christian Faith.

St. Luke’s Outreach Ministries strive to better the lives of people of all ages, ethnicities, abilities, faiths, sexual orientations and gender expressions by providing hospitality, programs, services, and supports. We demonstrate our commitment to our community by participating in initiatives such as Nourishing Neighbours food bank, Community Dinners, Halton Poverty Roundtable, the Interfaith Council of Halton, Bronte Creek Community Association, ministries at the Waterford and Palermo Village Retirement Residence and more.

In November 2016, St. Luke’s furthered its outreach by opening St. Luke’s Community Centre, a hub that offers space to individuals and organizations from across Oakville and Halton Region. The creation of St. Luke’s Community Centre is our way of responding to a need that has been expressed by neighbourhood residents for many years.

This is a place where people from every walk of life meet and find the social, recreational, educational, artistic, health, cultural, and community building opportunities they need. It also serves as a Resource Centre where people can access a variety of services. St. Luke’s is proud to partner with community groups, not-for-profits, government, and businesses to provide programs, services, and events that meet needs and interests identified by people like YOU.
