Good Friday Service
April 10 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
On Good Friday, we journey with Jesus Christ to the cross and remember his crucifixion, suffering and death. This solemn time is when we remember why Jesus died for us and look forward to his resurrection from the grave.
Holy Week services will not take place at St. Luke’s this year due to the closure of all churches in the Niagara Diocese for the Coronavirus pandemic.
Instead, we invite you to join us for online worship and devotions hosted by Bishop Susan Bell and Christ’s Church Cathedral. On Good Friday, April 10, a multi-voice worship service will be posted at 9 am on Facebook and YouTube. Follow these links to view the service.
Orders of service will be posted on the Diocese’s online diocesan COVID-19 resource hub in advance of each service, and homilies will be posted afterwards.
“We will make our pilgrimage from the glory of the palms to the glory of the resurrection by way of the dark road of suffering and death, in a way that is perhaps unfamiliar, but one which will carry with it all the meaning and hope we are accustomed to in ordinary times,” says Bishop Bell.
