Come See a Piece of St. Luke’s History!

St. Luke’s has a long history of music dating back to 1846. In 1859, the church purchased a brand new instrument for weekly services: a melodeon organ.  This melodeon was purchased through fundraising in our community, just like we are doing today for our piano fundraiser.

Thanks to Halton Heritage Services, this melodeon has been housed and maintained for many years.  Now, this musical piece of history is back in our sanctuary and will remain on display until Thanksgiving.

Viewing hours are from 11 am to 7 pm Monday-Friday and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday.  Please ask a staff member if interested in viewing the melodeon.

None of this could have been possible without the care and effort Halton Heritage Services dedicated to this fantastic instrument. Thank you Halton Heritage Services for making this happen!
